Dr. Eva Feldman, MD, PhD, Director of the University of Michigan Health System ALS Clinic and the Program for Neurology Research & Discovery, is the Principal Investigator on the study. Dr. Merit Cudkowicz, NEALS Co-chair and the Lead Investigator for KNOPP Neurosciences, presented results of the phase 2 study entitled; "A 2-part, randomized, double-blind, safety and tolerability study evaluating KNS-760704 in patients with ALS", at the 20th International Symposium on ALS/MND in Berlin, Germany on Monday, December 07, 2009. The NEALS Consortium is currently working with KNOPP Neurosciences on an open-label extension protocol and phase 3 study planning.
