The 2013 Annual NEALS Meeting has been set for Wednesday, October 2nd through Friday, October 4th, 2013 at the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida. Stay tuned for further information on trainings, guest speakers and instructions on how to register to attend.
The 2012 Annual Meeting
The 2012 Annual Meeting was a great success! There were 250 total attendees and over 100 NEALS members participated in a full day of trainings. The Translational and New Imaging Mini-Symposium included presentations by Nicholas Maragakis, MD (JHU) on Stem Cell Therapeutics, Charles Thornton, MD (U. Rochester) on DM1 and RNA Pathology, and Martin Turner, MA, PhD, FRCP (Oxford University) on Biomarkers.
Each year, the Annual NEALS Meeting serves as an opportunity for NEALS researchers to liaise with leading ALS and motor neuron disease scientists, government sponsors, academic partners, and pharmaceutical companies in order to discuss potential treatments, to review current research activities, and to share scientific updates.
The three-day agenda features an overview of NEALS’ past year accomplishments; committee and taskforce meetings; study meetings and presentations; guest speakers; NEALS clinical research updates; and a variety of site training sessions.
